Cookie policy
Last updated: 6 May 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved on your device (computer, phone, tablet) while using the pietrynaapartments.pl website. They allow us to ensure the site works properly, remember your preferences, and (with your consent) better understand how guests use our offer.
Some cookies come directly from us (first-party), others — from external services we integrate (third-party), such as Google Maps or the Stripe payment gateway.
2. Data controller
The controller of data collected by cookies is CHILLINLODZ SP. Z O.O. (NIP: 7272895210), with offices at ul. Piotrkowska 103/105, 90-425 Łódź. Contact: biuro@pietrynaapartments.pl.
3. Cookie categories
We divide cookies into four categories. You can choose your preferences in the banner on first visit or change them at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer.
3.1. Necessary (always enabled)
Required for the basic functioning of the site — sessions, booking forms, security. They cannot be disabled because without them the site does not work. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — your consent is not required.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
| pietryna-cookie-consent | pietrynaapartments.pl | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner (locally in your browser) | Indefinite (until manually deleted) |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe (after redirect to checkout.stripe.com) | Fraud detection and abuse prevention during payment | 1 year / 30 min (session) |
3.2. Functional (requires consent)
Remember your preferences — dates selected in the search, last viewed apartment, interface settings. Allow you to continue planning your stay after closing and reopening the browser.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
| search-prefs | pietrynaapartments.pl | Remembers recently selected dates and number of guests | 30 days |
3.3. Analytics (requires consent)
Allow us to understand how guests use the site — which sub-pages they view, where they come from, at what stage of the reservation they abandon. All data is anonymous and aggregated (anonymised IP address, no identification of any specific person).
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Period |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_*, _gid | Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) | Traffic statistics — page views, sessions, traffic sources. Anonymised IP | Up to 2 years |
We use Google Consent Mode v2 — before consent is given, Google does not receive analytics data. After consent, data is transmitted in anonymised form.
3.4. Marketing (requires consent)
Tracking cookies used to present personalised ads on other websites (e.g. retargeting on Facebook after visiting our site). We currently do not use any marketing tools, but we reserve this category for the future — when we enable it, we will update this policy and ask for renewed consent.
4. Third-party service cookies
Some elements of our site are provided by external entities that may set their own cookies. List of specific integrations:
Stripe (payments)
After clicking "Book" you are redirected to the hosted checkout.stripe.com page. Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud detection and payment processing.
Stripe cookie policy →Hostify (booking system)
Booking backend — runs server-side, does not set cookies in your browser.
Hostify privacy policy →Google Maps
Maps on the /contact page are loaded from Google servers. Google may set cookies while displaying maps. The map does not load unless you consent to functional cookies.
Google cookie policy →YouTube (video presentation)
The video on the home page is embedded from youtube-nocookie.com — YouTube privacy mode, which does NOT set tracking cookies until playback is clicked. Once played, YouTube may set analytics cookies.
Google/YouTube cookie policy →5. How to manage cookies?
You have full control over cookies. You can:
- Change preferences on our site — click "Cookie settings" in the footer. The banner will reappear and you'll be able to choose specific categories.
- Delete existing cookies — in browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy and security
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Block cookies entirely in browser settings — this may, however, limit site functionality (e.g. prevent booking).
6. Legal basis and your rights
We use cookies based on:
- Necessary — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest)
- Functional, analytics, marketing — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent) + Art. 173 of the Polish Telecommunications Law
Consent is voluntary and you can withdraw it at any time (the "Cookie settings" button in the footer). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out earlier.
Detailed information about your rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, complaint to the Personal Data Protection Office) is available in our Privacy policy.
7. Changes to the policy
We reserve the right to make changes. When the scope of processing changes (e.g. adding a new analytics tool) we will ask you for renewed consent. Each change will be published on this page along with the update date.
